EXs102 World Music

A virtual World Music festival from Bolder Sounds. Plucked instruments include a Cavaquinho from Brazil, a Thumb Piano from Africa, a Saz and a Lute from Turkey and the groovy 1960's Electric Sitar from the United States. Wind instruments include South American Flutes, Didgeridoo, Native American Flutes and the Duduk. In the percussion category we have Tabla, Darbuka and Persian drums.

From the percussion loops, hits were extracted and custom KARMA GEs were created by Ed Fenner for this volume. This approach enabled us to recreate some of the original grooves with tempo control and also create entirely new grooves with all the flexibility you would expect from KARMA GEs. Combis were then created with various layers of these KARMA GEs offering various World Percussion Ensembles.
