Kelfar Technologies introduces its 16th sound expansion library to the family of Nautilus / Kronos, the EXs251 Kelfar Solo Violin. The Solo Violin brings to your Nautilus / Kronos new Violin elements to enhance your musical performances like you have never experienced before. The Solo Violin offers a set of physically modeled and hybrid sampling sounds.

One of the unique features of the Kelfar Solo Violin is that we preserved the acoustic feel of the violin by using special techniques and microphones to capture every nuance of playing the actual instrument. From bow noises to pizzicato, nothing has been left out of this library. Use the sounds individually or in combination to create your masterpiece.

Korg Nautilus / Kronos engines were used to create the new sounds. These include:
• STR-1
• MOD-7
• AL-1

Varieties of Solo Violins
The EXs251 includes three kinds of violins:
• Classical
• Vintage
• Electric

Solo Violin Expressive Dynamics
The violin is a unique instrument. Every aspect of the instrument affects its sound. Even the wood chosen for the body creates subtle yet different tonal qualities. That’s what makes a Guarneri from a Stradivari, or a modern factor-made violin different from a handcrafted instrument.

We’ve captured these nuances and more in the Solo Violin library. In combis, the elements of a violin’s sound – violin, tremolo, pizzicato, staccato, bow noises – are assigned to individual tracks. This allows you to control them individually. The resulting violin performances will amaze your audience!

We have programmed each of the programs and combinations to have its own variations to be performed for any kind of musical genre: classical, pop, rock, and ethnic.

Tremolo Tempo Control
You can control the tempo / speed of the tremolo by using the Tempo knob or external MIDI clock without affecting the sample's pitch.

Effects
Need to add certain effects to carry off a solo or flourish? Knobs 7 and 8 control the effects in real-time. This feature makes it easy to get the right amount of Reverb or Delays whether you’re performing live or playing in the studio. We’ve even programmed the violins in Progs and Combis with effects related to a theme or song!

Realistic Violin Articulations and AMS (Alternate Modulation Source, Realtime Controls)
The EXs251 has the following articulations:
• Pizzicato
• Staccato
• Tremolo with Tempo control
• Vibrato
• Harmonics (Bridge)
• Bow Key Off

All the AMS assignments and Real-Time Controls have been standardized. You have dynamic control over the sound using SW1, SW2, After Touch, Velocity, Joystick, and Ribbon. It is highly recommended that you use the EXs251 Guide to become familiar with the Kelfar Solo Violin.
